The commune of Villa Collemandina extends 34.81 square km. and has a population of over 1300 inhabitants. It has an excellent geographical position and moderate climate thanks to the protection from the cold north winds by the formation of the Apennine ridge.
Made up of seven villages, the municipality of Villa Collemandina is nestled around the mass of the Pania di Corfino. Each village provides a view to the front of the Apuan Alps. Down from the villages lies the Serchio River valley with its cultivated terraces and to the back, the Pania and the Apennines.
